Hi, we moved to the US nearly two years ago, before that we spent five years in Germany and before that we lived in England. The more countries we live in the more we want to make a new country with all our favourite bits and none of the bad bits. I do miss having carol singers round at Christmas. When we lived in Kent the Salvation Army Band came round the houses and it was lovely. What does everyone else miss? Sarah

Hi everyone living in Berlin and all the others. I have one simple question about spending the New Year eve in Berlin. What is for you the best place to go for NYE party or Silvester as it's called here? I know that they will have huge fireworks between the Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag. But if you know any other good places let us know. and if wonder how it look like here, check this page: http://www.silvester-berlin.de/English/start.html Happy Holidays to all and I wish you a very good 2009 full of surprise. Daniel

Ok, somebody has to start.

I wish you all a merry Xmas!

I hope we will have snow in the next days here in Berlin. I’m running late with my preparations (as always), but I’m looking forward to spend Christmas and New Year in Berlin the first time in my life! I enjoy the German “Weihnachtsmarkt” with mulled wine

Some traditions here are quite unique and funny such as “Nikolaus” at December 6th which is a kind of a “fake” Santa Claus!

My best wishes for all expats worldwide!

Hey everyone! I was just wondering how many of you are made the jump from the UK to the US and settled in Southern California. I know of a family from Liverpool, locally. Anyone else? :)
